Last Basketball Game of the Season!

Our last Saturday morning to get up at 7 to make it to the morning basketball. Bittersweet.
Buddy had a wonderful season. He scored an average of 12 points a game and about 6 rebounds. He was quite the ball hog.

He and his friends had so much fun. I too had a blast being the Team Mom. Now we have to prepare for baseball. Ah, it never ends.
I also joined the Creativity Project through Lisa Day's blog. A scrapbooker and Mom, who has decided to join women today to help get inspired and the creativity juices flowing. We have all agreed to comment to doing at least one creative thing each day in March. I'm committed. And get this, she actually emailed me back. She personally emailed me. Oh my! I feel so cool right now. Check it out at lisaday.typepad.com.

Birthday Party!

It was great having the Man home last night. And today is the big birthday party for Buddy's class. Three other boys in his class have birthdays within 3 weeks of each other, so one brilliant Mom got the idea to have one big party for all four boys. Yes! We rented a children's party palace of sorts and it has been so easy. My only real obligation is making the cupcakes.

Kaleidoscope Cupcakes to be exact.
After carpooling a van full of 6 year olds, which is as scary as it sounds, we arrived for some real fun. And it was awesome. The boys ran and played with their buddies and just has a blast.
Buddy really liked the dress-up room and spent most of the party dressed as a knight.
Little Guy ended up in a tube and was rolled all over the playroom. I though sure he'd be sick but he was having too much fun to even realize what was going on.
Even the Dads had to get in on the fun.
Buddy loved the party and had a wonderful birthday with his friends. Thanks to all his friends.

Where's Little Guy?

The weather today is fantastic & wonderfully warm. Ahhh! We were in and out all day today playing ball and riding bikes. At one point, I couldn't locate the Little Guy in the house, so out I went to see what he was into. He wasn't into anything, but rather under something.

He obviously didn't want to be in the sun, but still wanted to enjoy the warm breeze. Just chilling out.
He never ceased to amaze me.

We get to pick up the Man tonight after basketball practice. Yay! We have really missed him.

Little Guy might be in love!

I was lucky, the boys totally got up this morning with no more hesitation than normal. So maybe getting to bed late last night wasn't such a big deal. Oh the Man is going to eat that up!
Anyhow, I invited another new girlfriend over today. She has a 3 year old daughter, is expecting another, and her Man is also out-of-town this week. What are the odds? So they came over after school to play and have supper. Let me just say, the Little Guy was infatuated with the little Princess. But what's not to love, she's such a tomboy. She loves CARS the movie and Thomas the Tank Engine. Well, Little Guy was in heaven with her to play with and share two of his most favorite sets with. And he did actually share some. After supper, he seriously did not want her to leave him. It was so cute.

Could it be love? We'll see.

Life Lesson

Happy Mardi Gras!
With the Man gone the days or rather nights get long. So, I decided to call a new friend and invite myself and the boys over for a visit. And let me say, the time flies when you are in good company. And my friend Esther and her family are really good company and we had sooo much fun visiting with them. She has three boys much older than mine, but they are really good to play with and entertain my boys. My boys love Esther's house. So do I.
Long story short, we didn't make it home until 10:30. Oh my! I would have never guessed I'd kept the boys out this late past their bedtime ever, but I did.
The Man had somethings to say about it too! Because he knows as well as I do, if he'd have kept the boys out that late on a school night, I'd probably lock him out-of-the-house for a day or two. Irrational? Yes!
So this was a big reality check for me. Good times with Good Friends is worth staying up late on a school night once or twice a year. In a month the boys won't even remember getting to bed so late, but they will remember the fun they had. And hopefully by then my guilt will have receded to. But for now, I feel sooo guilty because I know I'll have two very grumpy boys in the morning and I have to hang my head and say the Man is sometimes right. It'll be ok in the long run. But for now, we all need some serious sleep.

M.E. Goofed!

I got really ambition today thinking I would rearrange some furniture while the Man was out-of-town. Well, this is what happens when you try to do that by yourself. Yes, I now have a three-legged kitchen table. UGH!

The Man's flying on a Jet Plane!

We had a quite family day as we prepared the Man for his business trip. We played with the boys most of the day. Legos is one of our new favorite. We built an airport with several airplanes and cars. Little Guys loves the airport and anything that flies. In the center you can see our control tower.
I have been somewhat dreading this trip. I have joked that I was going to miss the laptop more than I missed him and maybe on some level that's true, but I know I'm really going to miss him. Little Guy was so excited to be going to the airport, but unfortunately he fell asleep on the way there. He wound up sleeping through the goodbyes and didn't wake up when we got home. I let him sleep hopeing it would be for the night, but at 7:30 he's up and ready to go. Oh, no! Needless to say, we got to bed about an hour after bedtime and had a very restless night sleep. We most certainly miss the Man.

Green Country Hunting and Fishing Expo

Buddy was invited to a friends house after his morning basketball game, which left us with some time and a little more freedom on our hands. The Man had been hearing about this big 100+ booth hunting and fishing show in a little town near here, so off we go.
It was really crowded and of little interest to M.E. and the Little Guy, but we hung in there and wandered the aisles looking at the duck calls, fishing tack, local outdoor crafts, and a bunch of other stuff. Little Guy like pretending to ride the gators and lawn mowers.
The pics are fuzzy because M.E. forgot her camera, can't imagine that happening, but the Man took some photos on his phone. UGH! Anyhow we did get to see some cool things including a large pit of rattlesnakes. Mammaw if you are reading don't look at the next photo. This was crazy! You could hear them rattling from the next room and there were about a hundred snakes in this cage. Little Guy was fascinated but was very caution, as was I.

Later tonight, after picking up an exhausted Buddy, we got a baby sitter and heading out for some cajun food in celebration of the up coming Mardi Gras. The Man got some boiled crawfish and I had salmon, but we were neither impressed, but it sure was nice getting out and having some adult conversation.

This is what 2 pounds of crawfish looks like. Wow!

Raspberries!

Day two of baking. Chocolate Brownie Raspberry Cups and Man Cookies. I figured that taking two desserts to trivia would increase my odds of winning, right? Although the brownie cups turned out alittle to dry, I think I used too much chocolate they were still really pretty.

And of course the boys, including the Man had to help themselves to some raspberries. Little Guy looks like little "jack horner". Except our nursery rhyme would be something like.

Little Guy Bluhm stood on a stool, bugging his mommy for a treat.

He stuck out his thumb, got a raspberry stuck and thought it was neat.

Ok so it doesn't rhyme well, but you get the point.

My second dessert was MAN cookies, basically a sugar cookie with oatmeal and pecans. I have to admit they were super yummy and will be a new house favorite. I got the recipe from the Pioneer Woman. She's awesome. Now its off to trivia night.

Long story short, I did not win an award for either of my deserts although everyone thought they were delicious and my trays were empty at the end of the night. I just didn't receive enough votes. UGH! But you better believe I'm not going to stop trying. I will be a real award winning baker someday. Trivia night was a blast, our table didn't win either, but it was really fun. And here's some trivia for you, the ones we got hung up on.

1. What does the "W" stand for on the periodic table of elements?

2. What was the 37th state to join the USA? (hint it starts with an N)

3. What does the E E in E.E. Cummings stand for?

See if you can get the answers!!!!

Command Central - The Kitchen

I really didn't have much of an agenda today. Little Guy is still feeling crummy. His nose has now started to run, and I can't get him to use kleenex, so his little nose is going to be chapped very soon.
Otherwise, I decided to work on the kitchen today, especially COMMAND CENTRAL. Its a little nook just between the entry and frig that was design to be an office area. Well, it has become the dumping ground for everything brought into this house. It drives me crazy. I really wish I'd taken a before picture, but I thought of it too late. Here's the after photo. A clean counter. Cabinets closed. Calendar neatly on the wall.
(BTW: the walls are really THAT blue. The house came that way. ugh!)Normally there is about 1 foot of papers/toys/mail/junk on this counter. It gets piled higher and higher until it starts slipping into the floor. And it only takes about a week for that to happen, so I'm constantly picking stuff up and trying to put it away to keep the heap from dislodging and avalanching to the floor. But today, I decided to get all the way down to bare counters. I love it. It makes me feel so good. And what did I do with all the stuff that was laying here???? I put it away. I already have homes for them, but getting them to that spot just doesn't happen. So here's a look inside Command Central.

Everything in its place, phone books, appliance warranties, Buddy's school work, envelopes and mailing materials, bucket of school supplies (to make homework quick and easy), cookbooks/recipes, notes binder (contains month pages for birthdays and ABC pages for addresses, along with other info), bills/budget, and the extras (school numbers, basketball folder, ready to mail thank you cards, library books, etc.). Lets hope it stays this way!!

I also spent more time in the kitchen today making cookies. Tomorrow night is trivia night at school and of course being the nerds that we are - we signed up! (we watch Cash Cab all the time) Everyone is to bring a dessert to share and there's actually going to be a prize for the best dessert. Well - I want that! I love to bake although I'm not a good cook, I find it fun. So I got busy & researched a few easy recipes and first came up with these. Chocolate Cinnamon Meringues.
Now they don't look exactly like the picture in the cook book, but close. The are light as air and have a weird texture, but I'm not a big cook eater so what do I know.
When the Man got home, he was like, "what are those things?"
M.E. "umm... cookies for tomorrow night. Try one and tell if its award winning."
He pops one, then two in his mouth.
M.E. "well???"
the Man, "they don't look very appetizing, and frankly they won't win an award. What are they again?"
M.E. "uh, I don't know how to pronounce the word, I think its french, but they are essentially just egg whites."
the Man "you mean meringues?"
M.E. "I don't know, here's the cook book, you tell me what that word is."
I point to the title Meringues.
the Man "Hun, that's meringue. Like Lemon Meringue Pie"
M.E. "what? I figured Meringue would be spelled something like marang. That's how I say it."
I felt illiterate - again.
Anyhow, they aren't award winning treats according to the Man (& seriously he would know). So tomorrow I'm making two more desserts. When he gets home, he can tell me which one I should take. Hopefully, he'll think one is possibly in the running for an award. Gotta have goals, right?

Little Guy

So Little Guy has been quiet most all day. He's really not feeling 100%. He ate a good lunch and we laid down for about an hour together, but he never could really get settled to fall asleep. I thought with him not feeling great, he'd nap. Nope!
However just moments ago, I wondered into the game room looking for him. I found that he had made him a little bed in a pile of toys and was quietly laying there resting.

Isn't he beautiful! Too bad he doesn't feel good. But Mommy was able to cheer him up with some snuggles and kisses!

I love my M.E. powers!

Donuts, Doctor & Daddy!

More birthday goings-on today. Buddy hosted morning snack at school with a special birthday treat. His choice donuts! 3 dozen to be exact.

Little guy coughed continually last night and felt really crumbing today. Upon calling the Doctor's office, they suggested I bring him in. Turns out to be nothing major, CBC was normal & his ears look good, so it must just be the beginnings of a cold or something. Vick's baby rub to the rescue and we'll see in three days.

While we were out we called Daddy for lunch, so the three of us had a nice mexican lunch which put little guy right to sleep. He slept in the van for nearly two hours which hasn't been the norm lately. I used the opportunity to run errands that didn't requiring me leaving the van and grabbed a book and read in the warm sunshine waiting for Buddy at school. Therefore I got nothing accomplished at home today, but I still had a really good day.

The birthday boy was the class helper today as well as brought home a birthday bag with four birthday books to read and a birthday binder to include his fun day yesterday. Gotta run to Wal-Mart for the photo print out (another reason its nice living in town) to put in the binder or perhaps the Man can go! Ahh, and leftover donuts, too.

Happy Birthday, Buddy!

This morning at 12:12 AM, our Buddy turned 6 years old. I can hardly believe it. He has already recieved two cards, one from Mamaw and Papaw and one from Grandma Beach, a birthday email from the S-Man, and a birthday phone call from Grandpa and Nana.

Here he is on the phone with Nana in his mismatched pajamas. He is so excited to be 6 today! After his birthday phone call, Buddy requested we all play hide n' seek. We played for about an hour and had so much fun. I think its safe to same, Mommy is the best hidder in the family, I'm always the last one to be found. But then again, its pretty easy to find Little Guy.

Yes, this is Little Guy hiding inside his Lightning McQueen pillow case in the middle of the playroom floor. He is so still and quiet, sometimes the easiest places to hide are in plain sight!
After our arousing game, we got ready to head out for more fun at our local kid's pizza palace of sorts. We picked up one of Buddy's friends on the way for a true day of fun.

Buddy's friend got him the MOST AWESOMEST gift. A Seattle Seahawks hat. Check it out. It was perfect, what a thoughful friend he has. After pizza and ice cream, they were off to play with the Man. Little Guy and I head out on our own for some toddler fun.
Little Guy on the carousel. He loved the rides vs. the games.

Buddy playing Putt-Putt. Check out his winning techinque, the one-foot roll. His skee ball high score yesterday was 32,000. He's even better than me.

Finally, we were all out of money, over stimulated, and ready to go home.

After arriving home, Buddy received four more birthday phone calls, from Uncle in WA, Grandma Beach, Cousin S-Man, & Cousin C-kid! Buddy normally refuses to talk on the phone but today, he was more than willing to talk and tell everyone about his most awesome, great, fantastic birthday!

Three More Reasons....

Since I've began blogging, I've provided several reasons why my DH (dear husband) is THE MAN. Today, I'll provide three more reasons.

1) He's a Great Dad!

Yesterday while the furnace was getting installed he decided to take the boys for an outing, leaving me at home for nearly three hours of uninterupted M.E. time. (well, the furnace guys interupted a few times, but I'm not complaining) I got to play on the internet and read and read some more at http://www.thepioneerwoman.com/ . This is a wonderful, wonderful website. I love it. Thanks, HJ for sharing it with me. I truely enjoyed myself while the boys were out.

2) Great Gift Giver!

He always manages to surprise me and last night was no different. At bedtime, I was helping Buddy with his pajamas when I discovered an envelope on Buddy's pillow. Upon opening it, I discovered a gift certificate for a 100 minute Swedish Massage. Like What!

I've never had a massage in my entire life and its something I would probably have never done for myself, so it was such a surprise. It includes 60 minutes of massage time and a facial. A FACIAL. I'm not even sure what that is, but I think I'll like it. Happy Valentine's Day to M.E!

3) Such a Romanic!
A couple of weeks ago, we saw a commercial for Stars on Ice, figure skating event here in town. I commented that I'd love to go. I have long since been a huge fan of figure skating or at least I used to be. I've not really watched it since having kids, but I was so into it when I was younger watching Katrina Witt and Nancy Kerrigan. Long story short, the Man got tickets and we attended the Stars on Ice show.

Here we are in the stands awaiting the show. We really look so romanic, lol.

A blurry picture of Sasha Cohen.

I must say I was impressed with the event and I'm so glad we went. I even think the Man was a little impressed even though he'll likely get teased at work for going to watch figure skating, but we had a great time.

So there's my three new reasons why I'm married to THE MAN!

P.S. This day six years ago, I was in labor with the Buddy the ENTIRE day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Buddy had his basketball game this morning and the team was alittle sluggish. I think their candy high of the last couple of days caught up to them. Buddy says the other team was really tall and they did seem to out rebound them most of the game. But it was fun and the boys are improving so much and have a good time.

At home, we are getting a new furnace today. Our old 32 year old one finally lite its last pilot light a week ago and that was it. Luckly the weathers been great this week, except for today, so that we were able to schedule a new installment today.
Yeah we have heat again!
I was very impressed with the efficiency of these guys installing this monster. It only took 5 hours.
And I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. We love and miss you all so much!
P.S. Six Years Ago, my water would be breaking at 1:30 AM! It seems like yesterday.

Ultimate Weigh-Loss Challenge

The Man is on a diet as of Jan 1 and on the 11th of January, we measured his waistline as our marker (we don't own a scale). I spared you the photo of the hairy beast, and I will today as well. And so now its time for the second measurement. Drum roll, please...

Its been 1 month and 2 days since the first measurement, and we are happy to report his waistline has shrunk an inch. Yep, a whole inch. Way to go, babe! We are proud of you, keep up the good work.

Valentine's Party!

Buddy had his Valentine's Party at school today and the Little Guy and I were invited. Little Guy loves going into Buddy's classroom and seeing all his friends. He gets so excited and has a great time. The party was fun and seeing all the kids valentine bags and valentines were precious. Its always fun going into his classroom.

While we were at school, we were also notified that Little Guy got into preschool. YEAH!!! We are so excited about this. It really looked like there wouldn't be a spot for him, but it turns out that we are in. He'll start in August in the 3 year old class, so we've got lots of goals between now and then. He's almost counting to 10, so it won't take much to get him there. He will repeat the ABCs but doesn't know them yet, so we'll be working on that and of course the biggie, POTTY TRAINING! I've stopped trying for now, but as soon as the weather gets warmer and he can run around in underwear or nude, then we'll go for it all the way. Hope you have a great Valentine's Day!

He's so Talented!

As you've read my Buddy is an athlete. He plays all kinds of sports and is good at them, but that's not all he can do. He can also create ART. Not just kindergarten art, but real ART. Ok, so I'm bias. His school is hosting their Valentine's Party tomorrow and so tonight we make Valentine's.

First, store bought valentines are not an option.
Secondly, I know we shouldn't have waited until the night before, but he hadn't decided on his design and media. Paint, foam, paper? Lots of choices had to me made. Finally he decided on paper cards, a traditional approach.

Using my Cricut and punches, I cut out a lot of hearts and flowers in non-traditional valentine colors. Lots of blues, greens and oranges, verses the pink and red (girl colors). Using my handy-dandy Xyron sticker maker, I was able to make several sticker sheets for him to use. This made the process so easy. All he had to do was sign his name and decorate. He was so proud and they turned out really cute. I hope he has fun handing them out tomorrow. Happy Valentine's Day!

First Storms of the Season

Unless you've been under a rock, you've probably heard about the severe weather OK had today. Multiple tornadoes touch down around OKC (Oklahoma City). We were very fortunate here and didn't get anything too serious. With that said, we did experience some wrath in the form of a leaking roof. UGH!

So you know I've been trying to move my scrapbooking studio to the sunroom, so I can have the natural light and space. I'm was almost done with this transformation when it happened.
The Leak.

Inches, I'm talking like 2 inches away from my paper stash the drips land. Some of my paper did get wet from the splashing, before we grabbed the bucket. It wasn't a major leak but a drip, drip, drip. So now what? Move the scrapbooking area, fix the roof, tear off the sunroom??? The possiblities. The Man says he'll be getting on the roof Saturday, pray for him.

This is for Grandpa

Yesterday, the Man watched several hours of the PGA tour. It seems like it was on all day actually. Buddy would watch for a little while then go play, come back through and watch some more. The Man actually got out pencil and paper to explain how to keep score in golf, and although Buddy has no concept of negative numbers he did seem to grasp the idea of number of strokes and par. And knowing Buddy, our little athlete extraordinaire, it didn't take him long to head outside with a little golf ball and start his own game.

He came in to eat supper then back outside again. He finally runs in the house and begs the Man to come play HIS golf game with him. So off they go outside at sunset to play golf in the front yard. I followed then had to come back in to get the camera. Buddy had used a stick and dug a little hole in the yard and took one of the pink flags and placed it beside the hole. It was adorable seeing him use his stick and hit the golf ball in this hole. He actually concentrate a few times and putted it right in there. Needless to say, the Man and Buddy had a blast playing golf in the front yard with sticks and the new hole.
***Note: Grandpa bought the pink flags and placed two at each in-ground sprinkler head near the driveway so I wouldn't run over the sprinklers and break them. Just another example of my backing up skills. And yes, that is duct tape you see on the flag. Little Guy had torn the flag off so it had to be repaired. You might be a redneck if...

It's 70 degrees....

Its super warm here and I'm loving it. This is the perfect weather, gentle breeze and in the lower 70s. ahhh! if it would only last....

After church the boys and the Man decided to wash the truck and van. So off they go to get wet and make a mess. I couldn't resist taking some photos of the Little Guy washing the truck pretty good. He was very intent on getting it clean. Buddy was in charge of wheels and did a wonderful job, although he didn't want his pic taken. He was too busy cleaning.

Busy Day

Busy around here. First thing this morning, we were off to the basketball courts for Buddy's game. They did really well and Buddy scored a record high 20 points. He's becoming quite the ball hog. Its so fun to watch these guys play though.

Came home to more house work and projects and tv. Having the extra tv now is well.. wierd. The Man actually commented its like not having kids. They are in their new room watching tv and we are in the living room watching tv and its quiet and peaceful and lonely. As much as I enjoy watching a show and hearing all the words, I still miss the boys being in the same room with us.

Luckily, toward bedtime with sleepy eyes they both wandered into the living room and sat right on me. This is typical and although it is uncomfortable at times, I love it. I'm only going to have a few years- if that- of this snuggling, so I'd better get it while I can. And becaused I'd forgotten to take my pic of the day, the Man snapped this one of the boys and I watching tv. Gotta love it!

TGIF

We had a really productive day today around the house. The Man got home around noon so he was able to help move some more furniture from the 3rd bedroom down to the sunroom and visa versa. We managed to get the extra tv in there and hooked up to cable. For some reason I had it in my head both tv's would have to watching the same thing, but that's not the case. YEAH! We get to watch Mommy and Daddy shows again, instead of SpongeBob.

The Man actually got outside, the weather's in the upper 60s, and took down the Christmas lights. Yes, you heard me correct. The Christmas lights. Actually I'm please they only hung about 6 weeks after Christmas instead of 6 months.

Buddy had a good day at school and a good week too. He only had one little thing on Wednesday and that was it for the whole week, so we are super proud of him and his improvements both at school and at home. He's becoming a big helper.

Pantless Little Guy snuck off today and was being very quiet. The kind of quiet that you are almost afraid to investigate because you won't like what you find ... say all the toliet paper rolled off the roll, masterpiece in crayon on the wall or floor, a potty mess on carpet, etc. etc.
But today when we went to investigate the silence, we found him in his room putting together a puzzle. He loves puzzles and this particular one has 48 pieces and is for ages 4+. Little Guy is 3 years 3 months and he does this puzzle at least once a week, and has been for some time now. It takes awhile but he does it all on his own. So I had to snap a pic of this wonderful kind of silence. Puzzle Silence. Ahh!

What was I thinking?

Late in December, I got ambitious and brainstormed about scrapbooking projects for the month of January. I sat down and choose 6 and posted the list on the door of the scrap room mess.

Let's discuss these....
1. Organizing the mess you saw in yesterday's post has been near impossible until I decided to move the area and get the cubbies, so at least that project is now under construction. -Project Status 1 month delay.
2. Project 365... I'm very happy to say this is happening. I need to work on my album, but thanks to this blog it will be much easier to update the album. :) - Project Status on schedule.

3. M.E. 1 photo/week. I'm not sure this has happened, but I think I got 2 pictures of me for the month of January which is pretty good I think.

4. Trash to Treasure. {Postage Stamp Challenge posted by Donna Downey} Well I have the envelope that I'm going to use, but it has not made it to a layout. And I'll likely not post the layout as it will have my address on it. Its a really funny story though. Its a Christmas card that took 3 people and 3 different ink pens to get my new address on it and sent to me. Maybe I'll scrap about it in June. - Project Status 1 month delay
5. Christmas Ornament Album... I didn't even really try. I did make an index of all the ornaments and the *411 on them. I wanted to take photos of all the ornaments make an album for me and each of the boys. I'm thinking, I'll make the albums some time this year so snapping photos next christmas and putting them in the album will be much easier. Remind me in July if I've started this. - Project Status 11 month delay.

6. Submit to be Published. Didn't happen! End of Story.

So should I brainstorm another list for February???

Transformation Begins!

Before

I had dreamed of our 3rd bedroom becoming a Scrapbook & Craft Studio, but after living here 4 months it still is a complete mess. At least in this picture there is a path, which is not always the case. So how could I possible get anything accomplished in this mess? I can't!!!

Therefore the transformation is beginning. I'm going to get my act together and my house. I really don't know how to decorate, so I'm at a lose as to what to do. But after visiting Rachel and Jen's houses this weekend, my house looks like..... well, its pathetic.

So here goes.. Project #1...I'm moving all the scrapbooking & craft supplies down to the sun room in neat little cubbies. I'm moving the spare couch, computer and tv up into the 3rd bedroom to create a den for the boys.

In the process
Wish me luck that I don't burn out before this project is complete. I'll use the flylady system and do it in 15 minutes intervals to keep myself charged and ready to go.

Pizza Night

Buddy's school sponsors a restaurant night once a month as a fundraiser and as it is our main night out each month - we try to attend. This month it was at one of our favorite pizza places in town - its so delicious. We love getting to visit with other families from school and having a night off of supper duty.

Of course, Buddy is being goofy and covered his face, distracting Little Guy in the process. Oh well, at least the Man and I are looking at the camera.

On the road again...

It was a whirl wind of a trip. I'm not sure I want to drive 30 hours for a weekend trip again, but it was great seeing all the family and friends and getting to visit. We all miss them so much.Driving, Driving, Driving and more Driving doesn't leave much to talk about, but I will share this pic of a Coke Machine graveyard, or at least I think that's what it is. Its kind of hard to see in this pic, but I wanted to show the magnitude of how many there are. I'll probably get the story on another trip, but we have passed this place several times and I had to stop and take a pic because it was still light out. There is about a 1/2 acre of coke machines stacked in row after row. Its just funny to see.

GO Cardinals!

Here's the gang at the superbowl party minus a few whom due to weather could not attend or had to leave early. And yes there is a huge bronze football in the center. That would be the gang's fantasy football trophy. This is the 5th year of the trophy and I must say most of the wives have been very generous to let this thing grace their mantles and tv shelves for a year each. We had a blast and were very disappointed the Steelers won!
