Fun with Cousins

We really had a good time playing and hanging out with Cousin K and the kiddos. This afternoon we headed up to the beach to visit Gramma. I stopped by the Urgent Clinic and I was cleared as contagious from strep but the kids on the other hand were exposed to M.E. while I was sick so they are considered contagious. Luckily, Grandpa drove the motorhome out to Gramma's house, so we could stay in it at the beach. What a wonderful idea! So we spent the evening getting settled in and visiting with Gramma and Cousin T & her kids.
First things first.... long sleeves and pants. After being in OK with 102 temperatures, the cool, windy 70 at the beach was too much for us. The boys and I headed in to a quick change of clothes then time to build sand castles.
This photo was taken about 8 feet from Gramma's back door. Gotta love it.

Buddy brings back water for the castle building. Pretty smart of him to realize the sand needs to be wet. Gramma has this wonderful rule of any kids under 12 have to wear a life jacket when on or near the dock. I simply love this photo.
Little Guy is too cute with his hair blowing in the wind.

Cousin Matt showed up with some home made fishing poles, just right for the kiddos.
They are fishing for bullheads, I'd never heard of such, but they are pretty much the equivalent to fishing for bluegills. Just a hook with some bait and you're catching fish.
The Man also had to get in on the action too.

I think they managed to get about 8 or 9 before they gave up for the evening.

We built a fire on the beach and sat around and visiting with the extended family until well after dark, which was somewhere around 11 PM. It doesn't get dark until after 10 on the west coast. Love it! The boys were exhausted from all the fun.
