PreSchool Christmas Program

Babe was the star of the show. Turn the volume up and you can really hear him singing, Bells are Ringing. Sorry the lighting is horrible.

Christmas Tree

It last for approximately 10 days.
BEFORE
We (I) decided to got with the fake tree this year. Its not awesome. But it has lights and my favorite, favorite. ORNAMENTS.  I love ornaments. And every single one on this tree was a gift. I didn't purchase a single one.  I even have a master list of who gifted what to whom.  (okay thats another story.)
Here's my rational for going fake, this year.
1 - we already had it in the garage. convenient.
2 - With LGs surgery getting to the tree farm wouldn't happen anytime soon
3 - we won't be home for Christmas.
4 - Enter the mighty 2 year old Babe.

AFTER

Yep, the whole thing fell into the play room.  Completely busted the base, the top came flying off, ornaments everywhere, and a section of lights no longer works.  Thank goodness Mamaw was here to help M.E. get it up and I had to get the "real tree" base from the garage and rigged it to work with this tree.  So the tree is back up and Babe has not went within a foot of it since.

Babe was not hurt in the falling of the tree, however, there were some casualities.  I've tried not to cry, but dang it. I love my ornaments. And four of them broke.  I found most of the pieces and have tried krazy glue.  Didn't work. So I'll be bustin out the hot glue this week to see if I can save them.  I may have to just put them back up with missing pieces and chalk it up to the year.

Babe rode the tree to the ground.

Buddy Feelin' Good

Last week, Buddy reminded M.E. that I had a free burger waiting for M.E. at Red Robin as part of my Red Robin Royalty Rewards card.   Of course, we had to go.  So he, Mamaw and I loaded up and headed out to eat. I love Red Robin, so does Buddy.  I got fish and chips as usual and he got my free burger. He wants to try them all so this nights selection was the Banzi Burger complete with teriyaki sauce and pineapple.
We were all full and in good moods.  So good that Buddy started performing for us and even suggested I video (the lighting is horrible, but I think you'll still smile).
Who is this kid?  Sometimes, I'm truly surprised.   But then again, there's probably nothing quite like a special supper with your Mamaw and Mom all by yourself.

Indoor Soccer

Buddy began indoor soccer two weeks ago and with Mamaw in town, I got to attend his game this past week.  I like indoor so much more than outdoor.  Not sure why, but I do.

I managed lots of pictures, they are not high quality by any means, with the indoor lighting, reflection from the glass, speed, etc.
By got to play the a lot of the second half. Buddy in Red, #10.
Here he had a clear line on the goal and his shoot when too high and bounced off the bar.  He was upset.

I think I like indoor because I can actually see what going on.
 And its fast.
Buddy loves it and so do I.

Thanks for the Well Wishes

LG has surgery on Friday.  His tonsils and adenoids were removed.  Everything went just fine.
He was only out of my sight for about 30 minutes and the doctor said his adenoids were large - the size of walnuts.
We were home by 9:30 AM and he felt pretty good.  Since that time however, recovery hasn't been fun. He doesn't like the pain medication and doesn't want to take it.  He has steadily refused everything. But today I've begun forcing the medicine and fluids in him.  He currently is fever free and I want to keep it that way.

We also appreciate all the well wishes, text messages and phones. We are so blessed to have wonderful family and friends praying for us.  And Mamaw has been a HUGE help!
