Cub Scout Fall Festival

LG had the opportunity to participate in our local Cub Scout Fall Festival recently. He and the Man had a really great time and loved it.  Much Thanks to the Man for all the great photos.
Of course, he loved the archeology did and looking for treasures and rocks.
I'm not sure what he is excited about here, but isn't he so cute.
Story goes, he stepped up and took a throw.
Bang! Hit the target and down the boy went!
 Look at that face!
Inside the teepee there was much discussion about our Native Americans and tribes of Oklahoma and the Man said he stayed in there for a long time asking and answering questions.  loved it.
 Canoeing.
 Stilt walking.
Dart throwing.  He was pretty good at this too!
Go, LG, Go.
Loving Scouts!

Dancin' Babe

At Buddy's game last week, Babe and I were trying to watch the game, when he decided to take off running toward the parking lot.
After a stern talking to, he was grounded to this slab of concrete.
He decided to make the best of it and do a little dance.
Moments before the game was over, he threw my car keys in the weeds and it took M.E. and several other parents about 10 minutes to find them.
He's definitely all boy and lots of fun.
And yes, he's wearing rain boots with his shorts.  That's how he rolls.

Soccer Season Underway!

Buddy in well into a good soccer season and getting good playing time.
Last week, I managed to get to a game and take some pics.
He's really into soccer and loves, but he's not always as aggressive as needs to be.
He's yet to score a goal, but he's made some pretty good passes and dribbles down field.
There's many more games to go.
Go, Buddy, Go!

2 big things!

Today has been a busy day per usual for M.E.. After working few hours,  I took Buddy to the dentist where he received his first filling! I can't believe he never complained with a sore tooth or anything but there was a big cavity. Nonetheless he now has a filling.

He did fabulous and didn't even flench when they gave him the shot and did the work.  I was actually a little surprised because he was very nervous. But he was all good and actually wanted to go back to school.
After I dropped him off, the van was dead.   I finally managed to get it started and drove straight to Midas right by school and they immediately concluded I had a bad battery.  So I left it there and walked to work then walked back an hour later to a fix and running van. Whew!

Babe had a mini soccer practice after preschool which is always fun.  Sorry no pics!

After school we went through LG's homework folder and he had 20 "sticker papers".  We punched out the stickers and he added them to his sticker chart.
He's at 57 stickers.  18 more and he gets to buy a Lego set.  He's so excited. Go, LG, Go!

Big WeekEnd at Church

We had a big weekend with the annual school and church fundraiser & picnic!

We got all dressed up for the Saturday evening dinner and auction.
Boys had a blast today at the picnic bobbin for apples, playing games and riding ponies!

This guys loves bow and arrows.  I see a toy set in his future.
Yeehaw! Says Babe.
What a fun day!

Clifford

Clifford the Big Red Dog was a school pick-up this afternoon.  Babe couldn't get enough of him.  He followed him everywhere, holding his hand, giving him hugs and just touching him! Funny!

What does 500 lbs of beef look like?

A level full freezer- that's what it looks like... Thanks Adam and Carrie for hooking us up with a free-range home grown steer! We got a whole side of beef and it was a big one this year!

Sorry, the board game

The holiday weekend featured a Sorry! Marathon.  Buddy has to play and play until he wins which wasn't often.  I was on a real winning streak. But I must say, he was a pretty happy loser!

More Scrappin'

I have been fortunate enough and ambitious enough to get more scrappin' done and I'm really happy with the pages.

All I need now is to learn how to take good pictures of the finished pages, so they appear straight and flat.  Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I must be in too much of a hurry! go figure.

I have had this picture of Buddy for years now tucked away in my enlargement folder (its 5x7). As in year, I mean this is a picture from the week he turned 7, way back in February 2010, and I finally scrapped it. I am NOT a chronological scrapbooker. If you open my albums there could be a layout with a picture from yesterday, beside a layout done 10 years ago.  I like that randomness.  It makes looking at the album more fun.  I also don't really scrap events.  No need for 10 birthday layouts.  That gets boring to M.E., obviously you had a birthday and so on but I like layouts like this of the EVERYDAY.

I love this photo because of his silliness.  He's rarely willing to put himself out there to be laughed at unless he knows he'll be really funny.   I'm so glad I captured this.

I like this layout because once I got his picture matted and down, I just started adding random stuff.  The hears all come from a Studio Calico PL card.  I like that I cut it up and used it.

This is one of my favorite pictures of all time even though its really not that great of picture it captured a moment I wanted to keep in my heart.  And as it was already dark outside last night when I was trying to take a photo of it, the color was all wrong.  But nonetheless, you can still see it. I'm actually going to submit this one online at Studio Calico because all the products our theirs except the cardstock.

Happy Scrappin'
