Smell of Summer Layout

As I posted before, I've joined this new online scrap group at Dixie Pieces.com. I'm so loving it. Its just as good as reading all the scrapping blogs and its interactive which is so cool. Monday, I mentioned we were challenged to scrap about one of our favorite smells of summer and I asked you all what yours was, and as of yet, no one has commented....

Come on, just click comment and tell M.E. your favorite scent of summer...

Anyway, I went with the fresh sheets smell. I love it so.

This was so fun to do and create. We could only use the green, yellow and salmon colors with a neutral & we had to include stitching, either machine or hand. I used my sewing machine to create some swirls. I think I should have went for straight lines, but it still turned out ok.
As for the day, Buddy was antsy to do something so we called a friend and went to McD's to play in the tubes then home for some lego fun. That's went I got to create this layout. Other than that just a relaxing day.

  2. Three things remind me of summer. The first is smell of salt water at the beach. The second is smell right after a good rain after several days of sun, and the third is the smell of the magnolia tree that was bought for me when my mother died.
