Rough River
One evening, we decided we need to go out to eat but I wanted to go somewhere that's local and we don't have in OK.
So we headed up to Rough River State Resort. Oh it was so pretty.
We had supper at the lodge, then we went to the playground.
Then they found this rolly thing and had a fabulous time trying to get all 5 of them on it.
They had so much fun.

Sunset Photo Shoot
I really enjoyed getting to see sunset after sunset while in KY -- something I really miss in OK and our neighborhood. One evening I tried had a sunset photo shoot with all the kids. Let's just say it was funny and lots of pictures were taken.
Three boys all with three different personalities and don't want to stand still.
I wish I new how to edit photos better to really make those oranges and yellows pop.
But it was worth it all to get THE ONE!

Papaw and Pinterest
Okay, I just cracked myself up with that title, but its true.
While in KY I was on pinterest hours a day-- I admit I have a problem. No, I do not want help.
Anyhow, I spotted a cool DIY soccer goal. So after researching it a little and discussing it with Papaw, we began construction.

Sman was a big helped. He was kinda getting into the construction and all.
Buddy was basically just wondering around the garage.
Babe of course had to get in on the auction. He loved playing in Papaw's garage. Lots of treasures.
A few days later we I got some netting at home depot and we made us a goal.
Buddy had a blast with the new goal and was a little sad to have to leave it behind.
Thanks Papaw for the goal.

Much Deserved!
The Man took an adventure of his own after leaving us in KY over three weeks ago.
He flew from Louisville to Chicago where is had the longest layover ever and then luckily got on the last flight to Des Moines, IA very late that night. In Des Moines he boarded a bus Ottumwa, IA. There is was able to purchase the truck of his dreams.
I am so very excited for him. He has been researching trucks, specifically Toyota Tundras for some time now, so when this one pop-up on the internet he knew it was the one. Previously owned but only 30,000 miles and still under warranty. Yes the price was right.
And now that I'm home and have seen it for myself, I must say its really pretty, really nice and well...huge. I'm so happy for the Man, he has worked really hard to give all we have and now he has a cool truck for himself. Love you, Hun!

Ladder
We finally got Babe off the ladder.
Although he wasn't very happy about it.
He could touch the bottom with his toes but it was still flipping out about not being by the ladder.
Who Needs Turtleman...
Max the dog was having a fit this afternoon, so Uncle John went to see what the fuss was all about. He comes back with this ugly guy.
The kids immediately wanted to check it out.
Apparently he was in the garden, probably eating the cabbage. But his ultimate destination was the pond.
Not a great place for him, so Uncle loaded him up and took him down to the creek and let him go. He's have a big journey to get back to the pond and a road to cross.

DQ
Unbelievably, yesterday was just our first trip to DQ. We've been eating ice cream cones at Mamaw & Papaw's house instead.

Taking Cover
A random pop-up supercell produced a brief tornado about 30 miles east of here so we all piled in the basement; even though the sun was shining here. We were expected to be in the path, thankfully it went south of us about 7 miles. Whew!
