We Got Wet!

This morning found us hustling to a 9AM soccer game. For us, this was early to be out of the house on a Saturday.  I'll just tell you - there were no baths.  And we managed to make it to the game right on time, but forgot the camera and decided against iphone pics because it wouldn't be able to capture the speed of Buddy.

Right out of the gate, we score for the other team. 0 - 1.
After having no practices for the last two weeks, we really thought the kiddos would be rusty but it turned out to be their best game yet. Buddy would score 2 goals and send two goalies to the benches for a power kicked ball to the gut. He has a leg on him.

We would win 7 - 3! Awesome!

After the game we headed East to a Cub Scout Belt Loop Fair.  It was a day camp event for cubscouts to complete trainings/participate in activities to earn a belt loop to wear on their cubscout belt. Buddy was pretty excited about this.  So off we go.

First stop, Chik-fil-A for the Man some coffee and us a quick snack.
Its official. I would weight 500 lbs if I lived close to this place and could eat these chicken nugget wrapped in honey biscuit goodness.

Moments after arriving it started to sprinkle, then rain, then storm. I was windy, chilly and not fun for Babe and M.E.

Buddy was having fun though and loved every second of it.

Here he's got his sights set and shots the target.  I must say I was impressed with his ability to hit the target and many times.
After the thunderstorm rolled through while we were in a picnic shelter and Buddy learned how to play marbles, he was off to archery.

I think the Man was having just as much fun as Buddy.

Couldn't zoom much with the phone.

After this adventure and two restroom breaks with LG and trying to nurse Babe outside in the rain. I decided I'd had enough.
A happy LG and M.E. to be out of the rain and headed home.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

Ok so the tall guy on the right is Ben Affleck. THE BEN AFFLECK the movie star.
Tonight on a whelm we went to a steak house with our good buddies. Zkid and his mom and sister. We had never been to this place before because it's a little off the beaten path - and lo and behold in walks Ben and his wife Jennifer Garner and their girls.

This picture is blurry and I was using the zoom because I didn't want to bug him and gawk.

But I did manage these three blurry pics of him. Jennifer was already seated with their girls. OMG!

Mom and Me Campout + 1

Buddy and M.E. on his 2nd annual Mom & Me Cub Scout Campout.

This year's Mom & Me was at a different camp ground than last year and I must say I liked it better.  It had a lodge and bunk house.  You know, M.E. I don't mind tent camping, but it was nice to not have to do much work.
And with Babe still nursing he came along for the fun.  LG and Daddy would got to a birthday party and to a friends to watch football.

First off, we got up really early for the almost hour drive to the camp ground, and headed to our first session. Leather Crafts.  It was really cool. I didn't get a picture of our creations, but we got to keep them so I will try to get on soon.

Next, we were off on a hike. Luckily, I got to use the stroller for most of the hike which was nice.
Buddy on his hike, just moments after they boys trapped a snake.

The camp was on a lake and it was really pretty. This picture doesn't do it justice at all.

Us on the hike.
After that we headed down to activities, we the boys played football, frisbee and had a hula hoop contest. Buddy loved this part of the day.
During the activities portion of the day, they had a hula hoop contest.  Lets just say Buddy Can Not Hula Hoop!  It was so funny.

Buddy and his friends at the flag ceremony before supper.
We were able to spend an hour of free time after supper on the lake which was fabulous. And Babe was doing so well, he was a real trooper.

We headed back down to the lake after supper to enjoy this unbelievable sunset.

the boys had a big time throwing rocks.

Sleeping in the bunk house with all other boys and Moms was fun, but really too quite. I could hardly sleep because it was so quite out in the woods with out the Man there snoring.

in the morning, I caught this cute little scene.

Buddy loving on Babe.

I think its safe to say that Buddy had a great time on his campout and he didn't mind too much sharing M.E. with Babe.

Game 2

Left the camera at home so this is from the iPhone.

Very exciting game this week.   We took the field riding the high of our last win and the very first play we score a touch down.  I hadn't even made it to the bleachers yet.  We get our 2 pt. conversion to go up 8 - 0 - just like that. WooHoo!
The opposing team drives pretty good. They also have passing plays but like us have some trouble completing them. We managed to stop them though about 20 yds shy of the goal line. Buddy managed to get a few flags, much improved on defense from last year.
We'd drive down again and doing ok with our passing game. We complete about 1 out of 3 at this point.  On 4th and goal, they give the ball to Buddy and he runs, cuts and slides to the goal line, only to have his flags pulled just as the ball crossed the goal line.  He was near crushed. Halftime 8 - 0.
Beginning of the second half, the opposing team has the ball and they complete their first pass play to move on down the field. Second pass play, Buddy runs through jumps up and snatches it right out of the air.
INTERCEPTION!
I about go crazy, I'm jumping up and down, screaming run, run, run.  He makes it to the 20 yd before they get his flags.  He was so pumped.  Told you he was getting better at defense.
They would drive and try, but we never managed a touchdown, nor did the other team.  Thus we win 8 - 0. Fabulous!

If only I had pictures!

Show n Tell

Little Guy had his first show n tell this week for his preschool class.  We were very excited.  That morning, I told him today is your show n tell and he runs to his room. He knew exactly was his was going to show and I couldn't sway him in the least, so off to school we go.
He had to prepare three clues, so his friends could guess it.

Clue #1 - It has two eyes.

Clue #2 - It has a shirt.

Clue #3 - It is yellow.

It's Pooh Bear.

Winnie the Pooh.
Given to Buddy when he was born by Cousin Kim from her trip to Disney Land.

LG loves the fact that he has a shirt. And when asked what the shirt says, he replies,
"it say I want to go to school"
Ok, School must now be spelled P-O-O-H.
Got three of the letters right! Love you, LG!
