Pumpkin Patch

Last week we had a day off from school and M.E. and my friend, Carrie decided to do sometime with the day instead of staying in our pajamas.  We met down at the pumpkin patch for some fall fun.
LG and his friend A feeding the goats.

Buddy was really into feeding the animals this year. He kept going back for more feed. I think he spent $2 on his own money on bags of feed for 4 bags plus the 2 I bought.  I was happy he was into it though.

LG always has fun feeding the animals as he is the animal lover of the family.

The pumpkin walker.

LG climbing pumpkins.

The group shot.
Its very difficult to get 5 little ones to look at the camera.  And if you will recall when we came to the pumpkin patch last year is was cold and drizzling, much different this year. It was almost hot.

My pumpkin in the pumpkins.

He loved the hay.

Can you believe he's so big? Not quite sitting up on his own, but close.

Couldn't leave the patch without a horse ride.   LG loves to ride.
Look at them.... They are loving this.

New this year, Buddy riding.  The first four pictures I took showed a little too much anxiousness in his face, but by the end I managed this nice happy face. This is probably only the 4 or 5th time he's gotten on an animal of any kind.

Buddy picks out to cuties instead of pumpkins.

What an awesome big brother!!

We had a really great day at the patch and the kiddos had lots of fun.  We managed to come home with 5 pumpkins, one to represent each of us. I'll post a pic soon.
Happy Fall!

Football Season Underway!

Game 1
Well, we broke down and let Buddy play two sports this fall and so far so good.  Soccer started so early that the season is already half over and football is just getting going.  Now that Buddy is in 2nd grade all his games are evening game, which is good and bad.  It doesn't interfere with Saturday soccer, but evening games, mean late and/or bad suppers and getting to bed late which equals grumpy mornings.  But enough of that... Lets recap Game 1!

Here Buddy is recieving a pass from our QB.  We now have a passing game, which is so exciting. (Sorry the pics are blurring, the low light of evening games make it hard to use the sports function on my camera. I will be playing with this all season to come up with a solution)

First drive of the game, we drive down with a complete pass and a QB run to score 6.
We punt the ball and hold the opposing team to 4th down and get the ball back.

At the beginning of the practices, Buddy was a little discouraged because he wasn't the fasted on the team - he only one of two 2nd graders on the team.  But after a few practices, his competive spirirt kicked in and he step up to the challenge to be better than the 3rd graders.
At half time we were still up 6 - 0.
We are still learning our passing game and making good decissions.  Buddy would carry the ball several times through out the game.

Buddy isn't as fast as before, but I think it probably only seems that way because the kids are taller and older this season.  But he's not slowing down his determination.

We would win 12 - 0 and the other team never got a first down.  We are quick.
Here's to another great start to football. WooHoo - GO JETS!

Have you given up on M.E.?

Life is so busy and I am taking so many pictures - I just can't find the time to blog. I miss it dearly and say everyday I will do better and I hope to very, very soon.

Thus begins a hodge-podge run down of the last couple of weeks and all the exciting things going on with the boys. Look beyond this post for the other later posts!

Thanks!

Playing at the Park & a Soccer Game

Buddy was really excited that everyone was here to watch him play soccer. He's really loving it and having a fun time of it.  I beginning to like it too!
First we headed down to the river for some fun hanging out at the park. The weather was wonderful cool and sunny. Perfect.
These pics are all out of order - for some reason Blogger is not cooperating with M.E and I'm not happy about it.

Love the goofy angle of this pic.

On to the Soccer Game.

Who's the cool kid?

Is this the Man?

Buddy was team captain today. He was stoked.

We won 10 - 0.  I think Buddy scored 4 goals.

He made some pretty fabulous plays during the game and had us all cheering.

Or is this the Man?

The Fam Came for a Visit!

Last weekend was fall break back in KY, so the family decided to take a little drive to come see us. WooHoo!
I, along with the boys, were really excited for everyone to come, even my brother who never leaves KY came with them with his daughter.
Special thanks to Mamaw for sharing some of her pictures.

Mo and Sman in a cotton field somewhere along the way.

LG and Buddy waiting at the end of the driveway for the Fam to arrive.

The Man grilling some food for the hungry travelers.

 Babe waiting.

The boys still waiting.

They're HERE!

It was so exciting.

Back on the range!

First day back and trying to recover, this guy showed up in the backyard and nearly scared M.E. to death.

the pics are fussy because I was taking through my dirty bedroom window

You can see the planks in the fence and I estimate he was about 14 - 16" tall.

I alittle scary. And I live in the middle of town.

These days, LG, Babe and I are spending alot of time at Buddy's practices.  We are at the field three nights a week. On most occasion we are not alone - other siblings join M.E. in the van.  Its pretty fun - most of the time.
 These guys are a mess.
They all three had to be piled in the front seat.
They colored M.E. some pictures.  too fun!

Travel + Family = Good Times!

Babe and I head back to KY a couple of weekends ago to be there when Sman was baptized.  I think I've already mentioned this and said that someone give M.E. a pic - and they did, my Mom.

Sunrise from the plane ride to from OK to Chicago.

Babe did so fabulous on the plane rides and I got lucky on the way there with extra seat for all our stuff.

My Mamaw and Aunt M at the baptizing on Sunday.

Creekside 'church' where we have our baptizings.

Creek.

Sman and our pastor in the creek.  The water was a little cold but he did wonderfully. I was over the moon with joy to be there with him.  I was with Aunt Cream throughout her labor and deliver with Sman.  I witnessed him taking his first breathe in this world, and I knew I couldn't miss this either.   Love you so much!

My trip was quick Saturday morning to Monday morning, but it was so worth it.  I must say, I did ok without all my boys.  It was the first time since LG was a baby that I had spent the night away from them (other than when Babe was born) and I was nervous about leaving them, but they did great. And of course, the Man was wonderful.
